Completion of Runway Incursion Mitigation Project and Rehabilitation of Taxiway D Slated for December

The scheduled completion date for the rehabilitation of Taxiway D and the Runway Incursion Mitigation (RIM) project is December 10, 2025, and as of May 27, 2025, there have been 63 chargeable days of work completed out of the total 260 calendar days. Several phases of the project were combined to increase the productivity and take advantage of the spring weather before the rainy summer months. The last few months of rain drought has been advantageous especially with moving dirt and paving that requires long dry periods. Runway 15/33 is expected to reopen in mid-June, and then phase 2B will begin construction in the intersections of Taxiway B and D. During phase 2B, Runway 6/24 will be closed for a minimum of 60 days due to personnel and equipment in the runway safety area.
